Welcome! I'm Bob Mihlfried, a professional freelance audio engineer based in Chicago, Illinois. Most of the work I do is in the Chicago area, but some jobs have taken me around the country and around the world. Primarily, I do television production. My client list includes WGN-TV Chicago, WTTW-TV Chicago, CBS 2 Chicago, and many more such as Fox, ESPN, Dreamworks Pictures, The Weather Channel, and HGTV, to name a few. I am also a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 1220 and the Audio Engineering Society. |

As much as possible, I've tried to learn from every job I have done. This has allowed me to add the skills of camera operator, VTR operator, shader, and teleprompter to my audio foundation. My work is on a per-diem basis. I offer competitive rates and special consideration for longer term work. Because of the many factors that can affect rates, I cannot quote any rates on this site.
